The Team of Experienced Creators Behind Content Creators Conference is Dedicated to Helping Fuel Your Passion with Exciting Educational Events
I started blogging in 2004 long before “mommy blogger” was a term – much less a way of life for millions of people. We were living outside of Philly and this site was my way to keep distant family and friends in touch with our lives. Honestly, with 3 daughters and a full-time job, the last thing I had time to do was run to Walgreen’s to make copies of pictures and Facebook wasn’t created yet.
I frequently speak on topics such as social media, technology, parenting and women’s issues and was a top 5 finalist in the 2015 & 2012 Shorty Awards for “Parent in Social Media”. In 2011, I started the site Ten to Twenty Parenting which is a community site and information resource for parents of teens and tweens and the unique parenting challenges they’re facing.
When I’m not playing the role of events and scheduling coordinator for my family, I’m busy running a social media marketing agency and am very active in the community. I oversee the technology conference, ConvergeSouth, served two years as the President of Professional Women on Winston-Salem and am the co-founder of Linking Winston-Salem. One of my favorite personal/professional outlets is another group that I started called the Broads Who Tweet. We are a group of like-minded women in technology and social media who get together for fun and networking.
CO - FOUNDER
I started blogging in 2003, as a channel for my thoughts. Since that time, it's transformed several times to include a variety of topics. It turned out that I was one of a few "dads who blogged" before there was such a thing as dad bloggers. I have written for the Good Men Project. And I am also the author of the book "Mastering Google Keep".
When not online, I can be found tackling home improvement projects, crafting Barbeque, spending time with my family and cheering on my beloved New England Patriots.
My family (Wife, teenage daughter, and dog Lilly) live in the Greensboro area of North Carolina.
When I am not busy being a Dad or blogger, I run an online marketing agency. I have also spoken on marketing topics including search engine optimization and blogging. I have presented at the national Dad 2.0 Summit. And I have presented and volunteered as the Vice President and Board member for ConvergeSouth.
